What can you expect on your first visit?

During your first visit, your session may last upwards of an hour. You can expect to fill out the necessary paperwork and discuss your concerns and questions with the doctor. Afterward, Dr. Asturias, D.C. will assess your injuries and perform treatment if the injury warrants. Time will be spent discussing the Chiropractic Services.

You will then be asked to return for a follow up visit. At this time, an evaluation will be made and future care needs will be appropriately addressed. Treatment considerations include your rate of progression..

Healing

Chiropractic and medical treatment both seek to restore the human body's ability to spontaneously heal itself. Medical (allopathic) care shines in the critical care arena. Chiropractic shines in the conservative care arena.

The underlying principal is that the body has an innate (inborn) ability to heal itself. This DNA encoded ability is communicated through the body by the central nervous system. For example, a stitch approximates the edges of a deep cut. Your body does the healing.

Chiropractic and Healing

Improper biomechanics (improper movement of joints) creates nerve interference (subluxation complex) and localized inflammation. The "adjustment" restores proper biomechanics (joint movement), thus arresting nervous interference and inflammation. The chiropractic adjustment restores functional movement. Your body does the healing.

A Biomechanical Cause of Pain
Needs to be Treated Biomechanically.

Chiropractic Treatment Seeks to Restore Function.

A Chiropractor is specifically trained to detect and correct biomechanical interference, restoring the body's ability to repair and regenerate.
